Hearing Tests
Hearing Testing and Evaluations
Choosing the right hearing aid starts with a clear understanding of your unique hearing loss needs. Our advanced testing procedures accurately identify whether or not you have hearing loss and measure the type and severity.
Diagnostic audiologic evaluations involve testing your hearing to determine whether you have any hearing loss or other issues that may require treatment. Our evaluations are led by a skilled audiologist, who will be able to recommend the right course of action for you moving forward once the testing has been completed.
More on Diagnostic Audiologic EvaluationVideonystagmography (VNG) balance evaluations are designed for patients experiencing symptoms of vertigo, dizziness and other balance disorders. Our audiologists conduct tests to evaluate the inner ear so that the source of your problem can be identified. After that, we’ll propose a personalized care plan to help manage or resolve your symptoms.

If you think you may need hearing aids, we can conduct tests that will let you know for sure. We’ll play a series of words across high and low frequencies to assess your hearing abilities. Tests like these will give our audiologists the information necessary to make the best decision possible for your care moving forward.
More on Evaluation for Hearing AidsIf you do end up ordering hearing aids, we’ll schedule a dispensing and fitting appointment with you next. Prescription hearing aids need to be programmed to address your unique hearing challenges. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions about your new hearing devices. We may also schedule you for a follow-up appointment to fine-tune your hearing aids after you’ve gotten the chance to wear them in the real world.
